How achievements work

Gamerscore is the sum of points from every achievement you have unlocked here. Each achievement has a point value; when you meet its rule, we add it to your score once.

What we use to decide unlocks

  • Play time — Minutes you log on XB.Live (per game when we have a breakdown).
  • Leaderboards — Requires a linked Xbox gamertag on your profile so we can match you to Insignia leaderboard entries.
  • Discord events — Link your Discord on XB.Live, then use Interested on scheduled community events; we sync those RSVPs to count toward event-related achievements.

When we check

Unlocks are evaluated when you browse the site, when play time is recorded, and when our background jobs run—so new achievements can appear shortly after you qualify, not always instantly.

“Games played” without full per-game time

Some achievements care how many distinct games you have played. We prefer your tracked minutes per title. If we do not have per-game time, we count a game when your linked gamertag appears on at least one leaderboard for that title.
